Jeff Vespa is an American photographer and film-maker best known for his iconic work with celebrities and new and emerging talent. He is also known as one of the founders of the global media agency, WireImage and as Editor-in-Chief of Verge, a web magazine dedicated to discovering new talent. His film work has been screened at many international film festivals including the South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival and the Cannes Film Festival where his short film, Nosebleed screened at the Critics’ Week in 2008. On the photography side, Jeff’s work has been featured in numerous publications including Vanity Fair, New York Times, Vogue and The Wall Street Journal.


In recent years, Jeff has produced films for American artist, Alex Prager amongst which Despair screened at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 2011. In 2012, he produced the documentary $ellebrity which sheds light on the history of publicity, gossip and paparazzi in Hollywood.


Jeff received his BFA in Film at the San Francisco Art Institute, after which he attended the Master’s Program at the American Film Institute. He was also involved in the founding of the Hole Gallery alongside New York-based curator and gallerist, Kathy Grayson. Jeff's new book, The Art of Discovery is being published by Rizzoli in autumn 2014.


Based in LA, Jeff travels across the US and Europe for assignments.
